Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the services provided by Green Tech Assets ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our services.

Services Description

Green Tech Assets provides electronic waste recycling, data destruction, reverse logistics, and value recovery services. Our services include but are not limited to:

• Secure data destruction and hard drive shredding
• Electronic equipment recycling and disposal
• IT asset recovery and remarketing
• Reverse logistics and equipment pickup
• Certificate of Destruction issuance
• Vendor bidding portal for equipment sales

User Responsibilities

When using our services, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information about yourself and your organization
• Ensure you have proper authorization to dispose of or transfer the equipment
• Disclose any hazardous materials or dangerous components in your equipment
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding electronic waste
• Maintain the confidentiality of any account credentials provided to you
• Remove all personal data that you wish to retain before surrendering equipment

Data Destruction Services

For our data destruction services:

• We follow NAID AAA Certification standards for data destruction
• A Certificate of Destruction will be provided upon completion of data destruction services
• Data destruction methods may include degaussing, shredding, crushing, or secure erasure as appropriate
• We maintain chain of custody documentation for all equipment containing data storage devices
• While we take all reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee 100% data destruction in all circumstances

Equipment Ownership and Transfer

By delivering equipment to Green Tech Assets:

• You represent and warrant that you are the legal owner or authorized representative
• You transfer all ownership rights to Green Tech Assets unless otherwise agreed in writing
• Equipment cannot be returned once processing has begun
• We reserve the right to refuse any equipment that poses safety or environmental concerns

Vendor Bidding Portal Terms

For users of our vendor bidding portal:

• Access is by invitation only and requires account registration
• All bids are binding commitments to purchase at the bid price
• Winning bidders must complete payment within the specified timeframe
• Equipment is sold "as-is" unless otherwise specified in the listing
• We reserve the right to cancel bids or auctions at our discretion
• Account sharing or unauthorized access is prohibited

Pricing and Payment

• Pricing for services will be provided in writing before work begins
• Payment terms will be specified in your service agreement or invoice
• We reserve the right to charge for pickup services based on distance and volume
• Value recovery payments will be made according to agreed-upon terms

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Green Tech Assets shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service in question
• We are not responsible for data that was not properly identified for destruction
• We are not liable for any losses arising from your failure to backup data before surrender of equipment

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Green Tech Assets, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of our services
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Any misrepresentation regarding equipment ownership or authorization

Environmental Compliance

Green Tech Assets is committed to environmental responsibility:

• We comply with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations
• Electronic waste is processed in accordance with EPA guidelines
• We maintain R2 and/or e-Stewards certification standards
• No equipment is exported to countries where proper recycling cannot be verified

Intellectual Property

The content, features, and functionality of our website are owned by Green Tech Assets and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to our services immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use our services will cease immediately.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Rhode Island, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Rhode Island.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
